He’s smart
He’s adorable. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer, who solves crimes by day and commits crimes by night. In season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas. His son David Zayas Jr.
Dexter Morgan: I lived in darkness for a long time
replaces his father in some shots, as the two look remarkably similar. Throughout the first season, Dexter is seen with a large scar on his left side. Later, in season 2, the scar has moved to his right side, leaving his left side intact. Over the years my eyes adjusted until the darkness became my world and I could see.

Main ThemeWritten by Rolfe KentPerformed by Rolfe Kent. I read Lindsay’s excellent books Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter a while back and when I heard there was going to be a series based on the books I was extremely excited. So much so that I feared disappointment only because my standards were so high. Fortunately, “Dexter” absolutely delivers on its promises.
Disturbing, certainly, but above all fascinating
The series maintains the uncomfortable atmosphere of the novels with better fidelity than one would expect, and Dexter (played by Hall) is fully present. The images of the series are nothing short of astonishing. Watching the series, it is impossible not to find some affinity with Dexter within yourself. He is a monster, and yet it is entirely possible to identify with him.
